Late Bus -Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays There is a late bus available for students to take home on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 3:40pm on the bus ramp. You must be staying with a teacher until the late bus arrives in order to ride the late bus. The sign ups will be in the main office until 11am on the day you wish to ride.
Quinnipiac Tutoring The Quinnipiac Tutors will be available in the library on Wednesdays from 2:10-3:30pm each week. Students need to sign up in the library and have work to complete. The Late bus is available for students to ride home. Students must sign up for the late bus in the main office by 11am on the day they wish to ride. (No tutoring on March 11th, Last Day of tutoring is April 29th)
Final Forms-Spring Tryouts Any student wishing to try out for a spring sport must complete all information in FinalForms by Monday March 23rd. The first day of tryouts for baseball, softball and track and field will be on Thursday March 26th. You will not be allowed to try out on the first day for any of these sports without approval and clearance through FinalForms. If any athlete has any questions, you can either see the school nurse or the coach of the sport: Mr. Fuggi for baseball, Ms. Hobson for softball and Mr. Annino and Ms. Merck for track and field.
Arabic Club The Arabic Club will meet again on March 18.
8th Grade Class Picture/Club Pictures - March 11th The 8th grade class picture and Club Pictures will be taking place on Wednesday, March 11th. 8th Graders will be called down following announcements and attendance in class. Please dress nicely for your pictures!!
No Place For Hate Meeting-Wed. March 11th No Place For Hate Meeting will take place after school on Wednesday, March 11th. We will meet outside of the library across from Guidance at 2:10. Please have a ride home ready for 3:00. If you are interested, please come to see what we discuss and bring your ideas to the meeting.
Track and Field Informational Meeting on Thursday, March 19th Any student who plans on trying out for the NHMS Track and Field team should attend an informational meeting on Thursday March 19th in the gym. Pick up will be promptly at 2:45 in the front of the school which is the track side of the building. If you cannot attend this meeting, you should contact both Mr. Annino and Ms. Merck.
Pi Day 3.14159265358979323846.........this is just the beginning of a special mathematical number called Pi. Pi-Day is coming back to NHMS. Since Pi day falls on a Saturday we will be celebrating on Friday March 13th and luckily for you, you don't need to memorize hundreds of digits to be able to pie a North Haven Middle School Teacher in the face. Raffle Tickets will be on sale during all lunch waves for 50 cent each. Write your first and last name on the ticket and drop it in the envelope of the teacher that you would love to get some sweet revenge on. All proceeds will once again be going towards charity. This year we will be donating the money to the Kamp family who lost their entire home to a fire back in December. Some teachers participating this year from the 7th grade include Mrs. Bataille, Ms. Musco, Ms. Merck, Mr. Uhl, Mr. Connelly, Mrs. D'Antonio, Mr. Manciero and Mrs. Comando.
